The Giant awakens!
Three hits two of which were booming home runs in the classic Bonds style and six runs batted in. That's 753 round trippers: just two shy of Henry Aaron's storied mark.
Of course, San Francisco still lost the game to the Cubs, 9-8.
Were it not for Bonds and the run for the record, not even Kruk and Kuip would care about the G-Men this season. (Okay, Kruk still would.)
Anyway... you go, Barry.

1 insisted on sticking two cents in:
I know that San Franciscans are fans of Bonds, just know that I am not one of them. I'm glad that the Giants have their hero as he gets closer to 755, but to me at least after all the BALCO talk and from what I've seen of his attitude, his carreer seems tainted. I'm not the the biggest sports nut in the world, mind you. I stopped rooting on baseball years ago. However, that's how I remember the game being played. Either way, I wish your hero the best of luck and hopes he gets his chance to shine.
